Regional Learning Development Officer: Laurence Bennett

Laurence Bennett, Newport RLDOLaurence commenced work for The Salvation Army in October 2007 as a Divisional Youth Officer where he enjoyed over 11 years of leadership, leader development and discipleship work. Prior to working for The Salvation Army Laurence worked in a range of children and youth services including social services, youth services and secondary education. Following on from post graduate study he completed almost 5 years as a part time tutor for a theological college focused on student professional practice. Laurence commenced work for the William Booth College School for In-Service Training and Development in 2018. Laurence is particularly interested in theology as it relates to the practice of ministry. He also enjoys developing mentoring relationships and utilising the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator tool as a certified practitioner to enable individuals to access their potential. Laurence lives in Christchurch, Dorset with his wife and three daughters, where they volunteer and are heavily involved in their local church community. Contact: [email protected]
