
An Introduction to Faith Based Facilitation
Course Details
Faith Based Facilitation is the cornerstone of the Mission Development Plan and is the cornerstone of our approach to supporting and enabling mission. This way of working is encouraged by International Headquarters that involves looking at your corps, centre or community, analyze what’s going on and reflect on it in the light of faith and work out an action plan.
The course involves:
- An overview of why to use Faith Based Facilitation (FBF).
- A description of the FBF process.
- A walk through of the process by the delegates in small groups.
- A description of some the skills used in effective facilitation.
- An opportunity for the delegates to go through an FBF cycle in a small group.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Start to use the Faith Based Facilitation process.
- Know when to use the FBF process.
- Consider what makes a good facilitator.

Note: Should an employee/officer book a place on a course but then subsequently fail to attend or complete the course, repayment of cost of the course will be charged to the department/appointment concerned (recoverable from the individual) (Policy CS04 Sect 6.5).
