Regional Learning Development Officer: Helen Chappell
Helen is the Regional Learning and Development officer for the Birmingham region. Since qualifying as a member of the CIPD (The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) her keen interest in people development facilitated a career working within the Learning and Development team for an International Financial services company for many years. Helen also has management and youthwork experience in the voluntary sector from her time as Centre Manager at YFC. Outside of work, Helen loves musical theatre and was instrumental in helping set up and establish a local Performing Arts school for children where she fulfilled the role of singing teacher and musical director for their annual productions. Her two children, who now both live and work in London, joined her as cast members or show band members during that time. We are bound by the relevant learning and development policy and procedures for employees, officers and Territorial Envoys. Each application is considered on its own merit. Learning and Development Officers are available to support and guide you through the funding process. The criteria that applications are judged against are: Funding cannot be given for courses
In line with the current procedures for learning and development, applicants must be aware of the funding limits when applying for courses. Courses up to and including certificate level (Higher Education Level 1), S/NVQ awards and QCF awards level to Level 5:£3,500 Courses at diploma level (Higher Education Level 2) and QCF awards Levels 6
